Firstly, please allow me to introduce myself as the new editor of Utopia Kitchen & Bathroom and say how excited I am to be at the helm of this leading, award-winning publication. There’s little that impresses and inspires more than seeing a stunning, state-of-the-art kitchen or an uber-glam bathroom. I get the same feeling taking in scenes of spectacular locations in holiday brochures. Another key to success, particularly in the kitchen, is creating a great focal point and, with this in mind, I’ve put together some fantastic examples of centre-pieces that I hope will get the creative juices flowing - from amazing kitchen islands to jaw-dropping lighting, Centre of Attention (p44).
