New Kodiaq is larger than the outgoing model

AFTER A BAND first makes it big, it can be difficult for them to get the creative juices flowing for a second time; that’s why the music world is littered with examples of poor follow-up efforts. But Skoda will be looking to avoid this second album syndrome with its new Kodiaq – the successor to a car that won our Large SUV of the Year Award in its first generation.
To help the new Kodiaq stand out against strong seven-seat rivals, including the Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento and Peugeot 5008, it has been given a beefier look this time. Plus, it’s larger than before, which should mean more space for passengers and their luggage.
Like the new Superb (opposite), the Kodiaq is available with a 13.0in touchscreen infotainment system and a head-up display that can project the most important information directly into your eyeline. Meanwhile, four USB-C charging ports should help you and the kids keep your electrical devices topped up on long trips – especially because there’s also a space to charge two phones wirelessly.
