In the lead up to the Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC, Birmingham, we bring you our Top 50 new ’vans of 2019.
Whatever you’re looking for in terms of a new campervan or motorhome we reckon you’ll find it in this issue. From the little Campster to the nine-metre Swift Kon-tiki, they are a varied bunch indeed, catering for couples or families, weekends away or months of long-term touring.
If there’s one thing that stood out as we compiled the list of ’vans to include, it was the sheer number of new campervans.
Over 40% of the vehicles in our Top 50 are campers, rather than coachbuilts, and this growing sector is reflected in new entrants from major brands such as Benimar, Chausson, Elddis and Roller Team. I’ve been particularly impressed by the Elddis (and sister brand, Compass) entry.
Here is a marque with almost no past experience in the sector and yet it has produced an excellent pair of campers that are very, very keenly priced without omitting any essential equipment.
Another standout vehicle, which again impresses on the value-for-money front, is Itineo’s FC650. It is much more than just a well-priced A-class, though.
And letting heart rule the head, who wouldn’t want a new Westfalia Kepler Sixty?
