'I OWE HER MY LIFE' FERN'S HOSPITAL HORROR STORY
A cycling challenge last year from Land’s End to John O’Groats left TV host Fern Britton feeling ‘invincible’, but weeks later the 59-year old felt far from that during a battle with sepsis, where she even resigned herself to dying. Four days after a routine hysterectomy, Fern was still experiencing a lot of pain, so she called the hospital at 3am. ‘They suggested paracetamol and a wait and see approach,’ she says. ‘But by the next day, the pain had intensified so much that I could barely walk.’ After turning away an ambulance as she thought she felt
better, Fern took a turn for the worst. Thankfully Fern survived her ordeal, but inside you will hear her scary story, in how here health scare changed her life.
