IRISH FRANCHISE and ACMI operator, Stobart Air, collapsed in June and nearly 500 people lost their jobs after the airline’s sale to an Isle of Man-based investor fell through. The 50-year-old carrier – which began flying as Aer Arann in March 1970 – operated all Aer Lingus Regional flights on behalf of the Irish flag carrier.
