FIFTY BRILLIANT WINTER TIPS
Far too many anglers hang up their rods or put their poles into storage with the first frosts of winter. Don’t do it! You’re missing out on some potentially brilliant sport. Every freshwater fish will feed at some point in the cold, from pike to carp, and if you time your sessions and plan accordingly you can enjoy some surprisingly good sport. Keep a weather eye open. During periods of low pressure, when warm south-westerly winds blow, a visit to your local commercial should see the carp feeding, while cold days with high pressure are more suited to rivers, chub and pike.
