EARLY SEASON BREAM SUCCESS
The lengthening days have a profound effect on nature. Lakes that have looked devoid of life all winter are now dimpled with topping fish and there is excitement in the air as the sport gradually picks up. One species that can be relied upon to appear in catches sooner than most is bream. While you can catch them right through the winter, now is the time to start thinking about targeting a bigger weight of fish as they begin to feed more earnestly. Forget heavy baiting though, right now if you want to maximise your catches you need to bait smart.
