Charles (Charlie) Truman FSA died on February 10, aged 67. He was elected a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries in January 1986. An authority on gold boxes, silver and Renaissance jewellery, Truman had a distinguished career at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Christie’s and Asprey, and as an independent consultant.
