The entrance to Northcote Road Antiques Market in south London, which opened in 1986 and which still has some of the original stallholders 32 years later.
Northcote Road is a half-mile stretch of road which runs between Clapham and Battersea in south London which is well-known for chain restaurants and bars. It is also renowned, though, for its independent businesses, some of which have been there for 30 years.
And at the southern end that includes the Northcote Road Antiques Market. Antiques dealer Helen Rix has managed this market since it opened in 1986 and handily owns an antiques shop 10 minutes away.
