MADAM – ATG readers may know about the online petition created by dealer Alastair Gibson to raise the ivory ‘de minimis’ in the government’s ivory ban. We have just written to our members, in case they wish to support this, to pass on a tip about filling in the online form. I am passing on this information to ATG readers also.
Once you have filled in the form online (see website address, right), you will be informed that your ‘online deminimus petition vote’ is not validated until you click a link that is generated and sent to you, via email. Only when this link is clicked, will your vote be counted.
The Parliamentary Petition is a very easy way to add voices to the ivory cause without having your details published. This vote is open to any individual person with a UK postcode and an email address.
