This 9 x 8in (23 x 20cm) watercolour of a Breton girl wearing traditional costume by Arthur Romilly Fedden (1875- 1939), dated 1902, sold at Gardiner Houlgate in Corsham on January 17. The English painter lived in Paris before the war in 1914 and died from injuries sustained in the crash of the Sud Express in Spain on the eve of the Second World War.
