The Antarctic blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus ssp. Intermedia) is quite literally the world’s biggest behemoth. It’s larger than any dinosaur or prehistoric ocean giant is known to have been. The largest recorded Antarctic blue whale was a female measuring 33 metres (110 feet). That’s the same as 18 average-sized humans lying down head to toe!
