LOCAL firms should be getting more support from the Scottish Government, according to Argyll and Bute Council.
Supporting businesses and providing training for workers have been identified as crucial to the region. This was highlighted in the council’s submission to the government’s enterprise and skills review.
Councillor Aileen Morton said: ‘Argyll and Bute is rightly recognised as being one of Scotland’s most promising regions and the council is doing all it can to deliver on this promise and deliver long-term prosperity for the area.’
