THE COUNCIL will be able to bid for funding from its own coffers under a new scheme to boost economic regeneration in Mid Argyll.
Councillors met last week to agree the basic framework for the Lochgilphead and Tarbert Regeneration Fund, a scheme announced in February under Argyll and Bute Council’s budget plans.
The £3 million scheme will aim to create jobs, grow the population and stimulate commercial activity in and around the two main settlement areas.
