WORLD and Olympic triple jump champion Christian Taylor may have competed against the world’s best in the long jump last weekend, but he has ruled out doubling up at the Rio Olympics, writes Paul Halford.
The American, who has a PB of 8.19m in the long jump and was seventh in the event at the Birmingham Diamond League, says he does not want to impair his chances in his main discipline.
The long jump qualifying and final takes place on the opening two days of the track and field in Brazil, while the triple jump is scheduled for days four and five.
