ENGLAND Athletics Coach of the Year for 2008 and long-time Athletics Weekly contributor Tony Lett has died aged 79, after a seven-year battle with cancer.
Lett was awarded the prestigious honour as a result of his 20-year service to Cornwall AC where he had served as a sprints and strength and conditioning coach, as well as standing as the coaching secretary for the county.
Before Lett moved to Cornwall he had developed a wealth of coaching knowledge and experience through a range of roles in Swaziland, Kenya and Botswana.
