BRITISH ATHLETICS has named its biggest ever squad for the European Championships in Amsterdam on July 6-10, with six reigning individual champions headlining a near-100-strong team.
Greg Rutherford, the defending Olympic, world, European and Commonwealth long jump champion will pull on the GB vest prior to his Olympic defence in Rio while 42-year-old Jo Pavey will get the opportunity to contest the 10,000m again which she won in Zurich two years ago.
Martyn Rooney and Tiffany Porter are both looking to defend their 400m and 100m hurdles titles, respectively – with Rooney still aiming to secure himself an individual place on the team for the Olympics.
