BATH TIME
People have been using the mineralrich healing thermal waters of Bath for centuries, especially the Romans - you can still walk around the ancient pool today. But from 1978, there was no access to any thermal waters in the city for 28 years. Little surprise then that there was much fanfare when the Thermae Bath Spa opened in 2006. There’s a panoramic openair roof-top pool and a wellness suite with a Roman steam room, Georgian steam room, infra-red room, ice chamber and a celestial relaxation room. For a more private experience, the neighbouring Gainsborough Hotel has its own spa village bath with thermal pools in a Georgian setting.
