Australian Road Rider  |  Issue#133 Feb 2017
BMW’s iconic Safari has been running for 22 years and is one of Australia’s premier customer events. As part of Issue #133, our intrepid Adventure rider extraordinaire Amy Harburg pulls on the nylons to take on this year’s BMW GS Safari on the all-new F 800GSA.
Also, the man that has been just about everywhere on a motorcycle, Brian Rix, goes through bike and luggage setup when you are preparing for that Big Trip. He’s gonna save you a lot of heartache, right there.
Harley-Davidson’s new Milwaukee Eight powerplant represents probably as significant a change as the Motor Company has ever undertaken. So, naturally, we jumped on a plane to the US and rode the full 2017 range. Yep, you get all the bikes, all the facts and all the knowledge on the ’17 Harleys.
Not content with all that Yankee iron, we blurt a bit of barbecue sauce on that cheeseburger by jumping on to the Victory Octane. Yep, the bike that was going to change the way we look at American motorcycles forever. Well, now the door is slammed shut at Victory, we’ll never know. So, to commiserate, we belt the hell out of an Octane in tribute to the brand that coulda, shoulda.
More great stuff in Issue #133 sees a good look at the six bikes we most look forward to riding in 2017. Yep, it’s all there in Australian Road Rider #133.
