Autism Parenting  |  Issue 184
November can be a stark time as the landscape loses most of its color, and trees look bare and cold. It can also be a time of thanksgiving and counting our blessings.
Most children will have completed at least two full months of school, and this, too, can be either a stark experience with worry and stress or a thankful one with support and helpful accommodations. Our theme this month is “School Without Stress: Advocating for Your Child,” and we hope the information within provides you with a bountiful array of resources to turn to for help and support. We know the anxiety that can come from trying to advocate for your child’s best interest, but their school experience doesn’t need to be as bleak or gray as a November sky. Together with our cornucopia of ideas and your dedicated advocacy, we can bring back the vibrant hues to their year and make it more stress-free.
