It’s a measure of how far both the car market and Kia have come that the new EV9 will cost £75,995 when it goes on sale in the UK early next year in top-spec four-wheel-drive form.
Driven here in the UK for the first time, the EV9 is a six- or seven-seat large SUV, electrically powered, with a range of up to 313 miles. (A front-wheel-drive entry-level car will come in the spring, with a 349-mile range, but it’s still £64,995.)
