THE UK GOVERNMENT has frozen the 5p cut to fuel duty that it introduced last year, which it is claimed could save motorists £100 a year.
Announced by chancellor Jeremy Hunt as part of his 2023 spring budget, the move will keep fuel duty at 52.95p per litre for an additional 12 months.
