Welcome to the November 2025 issue of Back Street Heroes Magazine!

Hello and welcome to this, the penultimate issue before we clock up
the big 500. There’re a few changes this month – not massive ones (well, one is, but…), but big enough to warrant talking about anyway. First up, the eagle-eyed amongst you’ll notice there’s no Year in Custom Biking this issue, for which I will apologise, cos I’ve been so busy with roadtest bikes I haven’t even started any of mine. Y’see, because an event called the ABR (Adventure Bike Rider) Festival in June has gone massive in a really short time, all the manufacturers who give us bikes to test for our monthly feature’ve been withholding them so that they can use them as demos (or something, I’m not too
sure really) at ABR, and that means that, as a knock-on, they don’t
want to give them to us pleb journos until after it. Then, of course,
everybody and their TikTok-starring dog wants them, and so it’s a
mad rush to get them and photograph them in the few short weeks
from the end of June until the weather turns in September. As we
only do one feature an issue, BSH is, as you can probably imagine,
way down the waiting list, and it means that, when they do become
available, they all come at once (I’m sure I’ve seen films about that on the Internet). This year I think I’ve ridden and photographed, by the time you read this, something like fourteen in about nine
weeks, and that means that, with magazine deadline weeks and
stuff, my poor old bikes’ve not even turned a wheel since July. So,
sorry if you were looking forward to reading Year.
As well as that, we’ve a couple of new faces joining us this month:
Colin Brown, MAG’s Director of Campaigns & Political Engagement,
has taken over writing the MAG page from Neil Liversidge, and we
have, as mentioned last issue, a new comic strip from the creator of
the legendary Bloodrunners, Andy Sparrow – welcome to both
of them! NIK
