Sentence was deferred on a man who made racist remarks to a Campbeltown chip shop employee.
Christopher McKay, 32, of 41 Mill Street, Campbeltown pleaded guilty to a charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm, by shouting, swearing, clenching his fists and leaning over the shop counter, threatening violence and uttering racial remarks on February 25.
He also pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner in Campbeltown and Lochgilphead police offices, and in a police van travelling between the two, by shouting, swearing, kicking and headbutting the sides of the van and repeatedly spitting, the following day.
