Argyll is becoming more of a wedding hotspot, with a growing number of couples tying the knot in the area. New figures show the number of weddings attended by council registrars in the first six months of 2018 have increased on the previous year.
These include the number of weddings during the month of May increasing by a third. A total of 76 couples were married by Argyll and Bute registrars in May, compared to 57 for the same month in 2017.
As of June, the running total of weddings attended by Argyll and Bute registrars stood at 224 for 2018, compared to 212 last year. In 2017, the final total was 505.
