A £13,960 grant from the Scottish Land Fund has allowed Carradale Community Trust (CCT) to branch out and buy a 4.75-acre woodland.
MSP Michael Russell has congratulated CCT after it received a share of the Scottish Government fund to support community ownership. In total, more than £700,000 supported communities to buy land and buildings.
The woodland bought from Forest Enterprise Scotland will create a garden waste recycling point for the village and provide access to walks in the area’s other woods.
