The changes to the annual MoT that came into force earlier this year caught me out big time the other day. This was because a quick pre-test check on our ten-year old Audi TT roadster showed that the high-pressure headlight washer system had packed in. The windscreen washers haven’t been working as well as they should for a while now either. So as the TT’s MoT is due at the end of next month, it seemed a good idea to sort out both problems as both sets of washers are now included in the test. Despite always topping up the washer reservoir up with a wellknown
brand of concentrated frostresistant washer fluid, the whole system froze solid last winter when
the temperatures dropped to below zero.
