Before Thomas Dolby emerged as a pioneering figure in the 80s with The Golden Age Of Wireless album and his best-known hit She Blinded Me With Science, he wrote Lene Lovich’s single New Toy, appeared on Thompson Twins’ Set album and even played synth on Foreigner’s Waiting For A Girl Like You. He has also worked as a technology entrepreneur in Silicon Valley and as MD for the TED Conference. His last album dates back to 2011’s A Map Of The Floating City. Dolby is currently a Professor of the Arts at John Hopkins University in Baltimore.
