FIREFOX
Preview web pages before you open them
In Issue 714 (page 42), we wrote about a new Firefox experiment called Link Previews. This shows previews of web pages before you click the links to open them, including the first few lines of their content, their main image, the estimated reading time and an optional AI-powered summary.
Firefox 142 (released in September) makes Link Previews an official browser feature and improves how it works. Previously, you needed to press Shift+Alt while hovering your cursor over a link. You can now simply long-click a link (by keeping the left mouse button pressed down) or right-click it and choose Preview Link.
