Among Julie’s favorite springtime blooms are lilacs. “You can catch me regularly stalking our lilac bushes in spring, keeping careful tabs on when these fragrant beauties will be in bloom,” says Julie. “Lilac varieties range from white to pale pink to lavender and deep purple. We have a few different varieties and their scent is, quite simply, spring.”
Julie gravitates toward raw and weathered wood and antique-finish embellishments with natural patina. “One of our favorite wood pieces in our home is an 1800s Swedish Mora clock we purchased for our 10th wedding anniversary,” Julie says.
