Diesel&EcoCar Magazine  |  294
This month we get behind the wheel of the facelifted Toyota Avensis and the all-new Kia Optima, as well as a bit of an Audi-fest, with first tests of the updated A5 Coupé and Sportback, and the new 99g/km A1 1.6 TDI. Completing the first tests is the two-wheel-drive Range Rover Evoque in eD4 guise.
There’s also a twin test of a pair of business focused editions of familiar company cars, the Mazda6 Business Edition and the latest edition of the Vauxhall Insignia in ecoFLEX stop-start guise. The Zetec S edition of the latest Focus goes head to head with the Volkswagen Golf GTD. Which one wins the battle of the hot hatches?
Elsewhere, there are On Test reports of the Ford S-MAX Titanium X Sport 2.2 TDCi, Hyundai i20 Blue 1.4 CRDi and Mercedes-Benz C 250 CDI AMG Sport Coupé, as well as the facelifted Mitsubishi Shogun SG3 3.2 DI-DC and the more powerful and equally frugal Volvo V70 DRIVe SE Lux.
With money at its tightest, Sue Baker goes back to school to learn some economy hints and tips, and we celebrate Land Rover’s 50 years of using Eastnor Castle as a development ground. This month’s used car buyers guide covers the Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCi and there’s invaluable hints and tips into buying a used car.
