Mandrel and Morbius join exhibition by popular demand!

Visitors to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff will soon be able to see two more classic monsters from the Tom Baker era of Doctor Who, freshly restored by a team of experts, including special effects wizard Mike Tucker.

The new exhibits are the Morbius creature from 1976’s The Brain of Morbius and a Mandrel from the 1979 serial Nightmare of Eden.

Brad Kelly, General Manager of the Doctor Who Experience, tells DWM, “The restoration of these monsters continues the work we started when we first opened the exhibition in London, way back in 2011. In the autumn of 2015, we also restored the 1980s version of Davros to coincide with the character’s return in The Magician’s Apprentice. We found the original head cast made for Terry Molloy [who played the character in the 80s], and Terry visited Mike Tucker’s workshop and gave us his approval.”
