In 2013 the BFI played host to a hugely successful year-long celebration of Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary, with screenings of stories from every era. Three years later, on Saturday 5 November 2016, the Doctor was back at London’s South Bank for arguably the biggest event of the Who year.

Fifty years to the day since Patrick Troughton’s Second Doctor baffled companions Ben (Michael Craze) and Polly (Anneke Wills) by stepping into the old Doctor’s shoes, the newly animated version of The Power of the Daleks was previewed in front of a sold-out audience.
