Again, the show overlapped the end of The Chase: Celebrity Special and the start of The X Factor on ITV. Doctor Who was the second-most watched show of the day according to overnight fi gures, beaten only by The X Factor.
> The corresponding 12’43” edition of Doctor Who Extra was released online following the episode’s broadcast and looped on the BBC Red Button service, initially from 9.10pm through to 11.00pm and at various times through to the following Thursday evening. Introduced in tuneful fashion by Alan-a-Dale, this edition chatted to cast and crew both on location and in studio during the show’s production.
> BBC America off ered a 29-second Doctor Who: Inside Look at the episode with comments from Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman on Sunday 7 September. BBC Three repeated the episode at 8.00pm on the Sunday evening, with an audience of around 400,000, and it was screened again on BBC Two at 2.20am as part of its Wednesday schedule (ie Thursday morning).
