The First Session of Roosty's Motovudu experience showed there was much work to do...
A scence from Driving Miss Daley

Had I just turned up to a sunny springtime BrandsHatch, armedwith a shiny newGSX-R1000 and no real plan other than to just go round as fast as I could, then Iwould have burned through a tank and a half of the Suzuki’s fuel and that would have been the sumtotal ofmy achievement. The trip homewould have seenme essentially happy and aching in equalmeasure, but that happinesswould have been tingedwith a touch of frustration knowing that I hadn’t really got themost out of a precious day on track. You see, I get into a groove, which is a decent lick, but pushingmy pace on further is something that I just can’t bang down the door on.

So rather than go round in circles not really knowing how and where I could improve, I pulled a few strings so that I could achieve my aim this year to get a bit quicker. I’d tried to do one of Simon Crafar’s Motovudu days over in Le Mans a while ago, but taking a few days out of the offififice to get over there, have the day on track and then ride back just wasn’t going to happen. What I needed was a date in the UK at a track not a million miles away. Something like a date on a sunny day at Brands Hatch just a day or so after deadline would do the trick…

“What the hell are you doing over there?”

About Fast Bikes

TEST THE BEST IN THE BEST TEST Yes, it’s that time of year again when we all decamp to some far flung track and spend two days living the life of Riley; burning fuel, razzing tyres, scuffing sliders and scoffing pizzas. From the moment the light goes green to the second the circuit switches it back to red, we’re out on track trying to understand.
