A MASSIVE THANKS TO…
Have you ever looked at a bike and come to realise that as long as you’ve got two ears and a nose you’ll never own one, let alone ride one? It’s not just me then. Bike shows are the worst for it, getting you all giddy as you reach down to poke the titanium end can on Rossi’s Factory Yamaha M1, before the next bloke in line pushes you out of the way to repeat the process. Lust is a terrible thing, and it’s not just exotic women and prototype race bikes that are out of reach for the majority of us financially deficient (broke) mortals, because there’s often the occasional, exuberant production machine that comes to life in limited numbers and teases you worse than a lap dance… whatever they are. Yes, you can look, but unless your bank account packs an unholy number of zeros behind that first number, you’re only likely to watch it through your tears as the owner rides it back to their penthouse. The RCV213V-S is one such example, and the same can be said for MV’s F4 Claudio, or Ducati’s Desmosedici which brought a delightful dollop of Grand Prix to Her Majesty’s high streets.
