The S21 gri pped and went!
As well as giving the bikes a good run out, we levered on a set of three different sorts of Bridgestone tyres to check their performance on both road and track, for a total of around 750-miles over our days on test.
Just like the Duke, KTM and Kwack, the type of Bridgestones we selected were ones offering less than the very highest performance, chosen instead because they would give a much broader and more realistic range of capability to suit the expectations of this test. We were lucky to get all sorts of different weather conditions over the three days, with temperatures ranging from just 2°C when we also saw some light snow, to a relatively balmy and sunny 18°C period for a while. Of course, being in the UK meant it rained from time to time, and because we went to Oulton, we got to check ultimate grip for extended periods.
