As a vintage fashion enthusiast, Notting Hill is my go-to location for a sartorial shopping spree. Although many visit to relive moments from Roger Michell’s film – yes, the famous blue door and travel bookshop are real – it has evolved into a hotspot for effortlessly chic street style.
Along the bustling Portobello Road, a treasure trove of boutiques overflows with archival gems. Where else can you stumble upon a John Galliano for Dior spring/summer 1998 dress and a pair of Tom Ford stilettos adorned with pink sequins that spell out “Pussy Power”?
And let’s not forget the area’s dazzling clientele – Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell are known to scour these very racks.
For me, vintage fashion is more than clothing; it’s storytelling. Each piece carries history. My dream is to curate a timeless wardrobe of exquisite, high-quality garments that I can pass down, knowing they remain as stylish as the day they were created.
These are my favourite vintage shops. I visited and tried on a selection of their hidden gems, each with a unique story woven into its fabric.
Don’t miss the opportunity to explore and immerse yourself in a world of timeless and classic couture.
