Are you looking for a plant that’s beautiful, easy to grow, useful in the kitchen and even helps butterflies? Meet my good friend: dill!

Dill is a member of the Apiaceae family, but don’t despair: It isn’t as finicky to grow as some of its Apiaceae cousins. (We’re looking at you, carrots and parsnips). Dill likes growing and enjoys popping up in unexpected places in the garden. In fact, one of my premier garden joys is watching for volunteer dill plants each spring and marveling at the puzzling places they emerge.
