Creating a wellness bathroom

No-one should underestimate the enormous impact our homes can have on both our physical and mental wellbeing. The spaces we inhabit on a daily basis should make us feel calm, rested and well.

In an ideal world we would float from room to room in a state of nirvana, but actually each room of our homes serves a purpose - the kitchen is a bustling, multi-tasking kind of a space, the hallway somewhere to store and welcome, the living room a spot to relax with family and friends or be entertained. And the bathroom? This is should be somewhere that we not only get clean physically, but a space in which we have the chance to get a precious moment to ourselves, to refresh the body and the mind, to wash away the day and emerge rejuvinated. And, while in a family bathroom it is harder to create an oasis of calm, the following ideas might just help.
