The place to come for key terms made easy
Control Centre
An easy-to-access panel of essential settings for Mac and iOS. You can access it on iOS by swiping up or down from the top/ bottom of the screen, (depending on your device), and in macOS Big Sur it resides to the right of the menu bar.
Screen Time
This is a relatively new feature on Mac and iOS designed to make users aware of how much time we are spending on our devices. Located in System Preferences or the iOS Settings app, Screen Time monitors how long you spend in apps and allows you to impose restrictions.
Shortcuts
Apple-developed automation app that was introduced in iOS 13 and has subsequently been introduced to Mac in macOS Monterey. The intuitive building blocks format makes it easy to create shortcuts.
System Preferences
How can I change the colour of my Mac mouse pointer? I heard that it is possible in macOS Monterey John Waldman
1 Find the setting
Head to System Preferences>Accessibility and click on ‘Display’ in the sidebar under the Vision section. You will then see three tabs at the top of the window, click on the one marked ‘Pointer’.
2 Play with colours
Here you will be able to change the size of the mouse pointer, but the main settings we want are the ‘Pointer outline colour’ and ‘Pointer fill colour’ below. Click on both of these to change the colour of the pointer.
