Artist Donato made an early impression on the US illustrator
Where did you grow up and how has this influenced your art?
I grew up in Brooklyn, New York. It generally hasn’t affected my art too much, but the accessibility of quality arts resources, such as museums and schools, has helped me on the path to being an artist. Recently, New York has also become the focus of an ongoing series of personal work I’ve been painting, featuring dragons in a contemporary setting.
