Diana Dors in her pin-up days;
Diana Dors was often billed as Britain’s answer to Marilyn Monroe, a blonde bombshell recognised more for her va-va-voom figure and looks than her acting talents. However, unlike Monroe, the ‘siren of Swindon’ appeared in several genre outings, from child-friendly fantasy fare like 1972’s The Amazing Mr. Blunden to such 1970s horror greats as Nothing but the Night (1973), Theatre of Blood (1973), and From Beyond the Grave (1974), not to mention significant genre television outings in Brian Clemens’ Thriller and Hammer House of Horror.
