Knit Now  |  Issue 97
This issue we’re really indulging our love of cosy yarn and squishy textures to keep us warm through these chilly months. To me, nothing says winter quite like a cable pullover, so we’ve got a couple for you to choose from in this issue. For bold statement cables, our cover jumper by Adrienne Larsen offers experienced knitters an enjoyable cable challenge. If you’re looking for something a bit more understated, I love Helen Metcalfe’s use of reverse stocking stitch and delicate yoke cables in her Tragumna pullover.
For those of you who are looking for a quick knit, you don’t have to go far! With this issue, one of your exclusive gifts is a kit to knit your own adorable Penny the Penguin. Toy lovers will be spoilt for choice – we also have an official Spot the Dog pattern, which is an exclusive design by Sachiyo Ishii. If you’re looking for instant gratification, I took on the challenge of arm knitting and you can read all about my thoughts on this craze on page 56 – I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it!
Before you pick up your needles, why not grab a cup of tea and a slice of cake and have a read of some of our fascinating features? We’ve got an exclusive scoop from Rowan about its brand-new 100% British yarn Moordale, which I’m really excited about. You can also meet Homespun Wonders and find out who’s been shortlisted in our Stylecraft design competition. I really hope you enjoy this issue.
Happy knitting,
Kate
