Mac|Life has done a good job of evaluating programs that help keep messages and emails secure (see June, 2021). However, there are many files and folders that I keep on my home page that contain privileged financial and personal information that I access often, but want to keep encrypted when not being used. My go–to program used to be GoSecure from the company GoGoalSoft. It’s got powerful encryption and is extremely easy to use. But with the new M1 MacBook Pro, this 32–bit program does not work. It would be most helpful if Mac|Life could review 64–bit encryption apps.
