More pamphlet than book, these A4, 36-page volumes provide plenty of helpful tips and techniques for all manner of painting and weathering projects. Although not aimed at model railway subjects, there is still plenty of cross-over interest, with figures (large scale), buildings, cars and timber vehicles and structures covered.
There’s an inevitable focus on LifeColor’s own paints, but the techniques can be employed with most other brands and formulas. The rusty car projects in Volumes One and Two, plus the bare timber effects in Volume Two, are particularly impressive. The modelling, photography and presentation is to a very high standard and Volume Three had also just been published as we closed for press.
