London—Queen Elizabeth II welcomes Theresa May, the U.K.’s new prime minister, to Buckingham Palace on July 13. May is only the second female prime minister in British history, after Margaret Thatcher, and she arrives at 10 Downing Street at a critical time. Her predecessor, David Cameron, resigned after Britain voted to leave the European Union, a move he opposed, and some are predicting a recession, as well as another Scottish referendum for independence.
