DRIVERS using the Stromeferry bypass in Wester Ross face overnight closures of the route later this year, leaving them with a 140-mile diversion.
Major remedial works to the slope to the west of the avalanche shelter near Attadale are planned to take place from September 3 for 12 weeks.
The rock slope in this section is very close to the A890 road and the railway line so to enable these works to be carried out safely the road will need to close.
