THE SCOTTISH Ambulance Service says it responds to life-threatening calls within seven minutes within the Oban area.
The assurances were given after a woman waited for more than one hour for an ambulance outside the Caledonian Hotel, in Oban.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: ‘Staff rosters at Oban are at full establishment and there are currently no vacancies.
