STRATH of Appin Primary School pupils collected boxes of food for Oban’s HOPE Kitchen.
The P4-7 children have been learning about the work of various charities including The Dog Trust, Argyll Beats Cardiovascular Disease, British Heart Foundation, Oxfam and Diabetes UK and were delighted when Lorraine King from HOPE Kitchen came to the school to talk to them about the valuable work this local charity does. Family and friends joined pupils and staff at a special ‘Porridge Smiles’ breakfast just before the school holidays to raise awareness of Mary’s Meals which provides breakfast for more than a million children every day.
